Codebook 2 (Discontinued) - Secure Notebook App Reviews

This has always been a great app and Im glad to see the update. Its a very secure way of storing information which is becoming increasingly important.

I found this app after looking long and hard for a place to securely store information. I have found it to be almost exactly what I want and like that in addition to the itunes backup, it is backed up, if desired, as an encrypted folder in dropbox (which of course is also then encrypted again on their server). Some suggestions would be (as some other apps do that I did not like for other reasons): 1)to be able to have the app recognize a phone number which could be called, or an e-mail address which could then be used. This would be useful for those that I dont want to keep in the COMPLETELY un-secure contacts app (especially after the recent disclosure that third parties were accessing and storing OUR contact info on their sites!), 2) to have the app automatically reorder the notes into alpha numeric order when going back to the list or to have a sort button. I noticed that the most recently opened app remains on the top until one hits sync, at which time the notes are ordered alpha-numerically, 3) to have an alphabet on the right side similar to contacts, if alphanumeric sorting is chosen. this would make it easier to go to the note of choice quickly, 4) to put the mask option in the preferences, where I think it belongs. All in all however, I find this to be a really good app!! Just remember your password or you are toast! No way to recover for security reasons. Update: working well with iOS 9! Still finding it great!

A very nice app. Works well no crashes. Keep all my important info safe. And sync with dropbox. What else would i want

I love this app. You just pay full price. Store all of your data in it. Then wait for the developer to cook up an excuse to make you buy it all over again. They might even charge you more than the first time! Its very convenient... for the developer.

Am happy so far. Will integrate this more into my daily tasks eventually. Update: 01/04/2016 You want $5 to upgrade it for existing users? And $9 from users? THATS A STEEP HIKE!! Get outta here!!

Developers trying to charge twice for this app by charging for the upgrade. Have moved all my notes to another app.

I paid for the app, Dev discontinues it and makes a new version... Of course that version is for sale too... And us loyal customers and users get screwed. Never again do I buy your app unless it is to give you a 1 star review on the replacement for your horrible practices. This is a SCAM! Apple should delist this Dev!

You keep reiterating that Codebook 2 will be phased out by July 4, 2016, so that you can focus on Codebook 3 and that options to download it is available now, but you dont explain or show how or where to download it!!
